SiteMapNode.ReadOnly Property

Gets or sets a value indicating whether the site map node can be modified.

Namespace:  System.Web
Assembly:  System.Web (in System.Web.dll)

public bool ReadOnly { get; set; }

Property Value

Type: System.Boolean
true if the site map node can be modified; otherwise, false.

A SiteMapNode object is modifiable by default.

NoteNote

All nodes that are returned by the XmlSiteMapProvider are read-only, by default.

The Attributes, ChildNodes, Description, ParentNode, Roles, Title, and Url property mutators check the ReadOnly property before attempting to modify the property of a site map node. If the node is read-only when a mutator is called, the SiteMapNode object throws an InvalidOperationException exception.
