Type: System.Web::SiteMapNode^The parent SiteMapNode; otherwise, null, if security trimming is enabled and the user cannot view the parent node.

The SiteMapNode class relies on the site map provider with which it is associated to track its relationships to other nodes in the site map. The ParentNode property calls the GetParentNode method, passing a reference to itself, to retrieve the parent SiteMapNode.
