IHttpSessionState.Timeout Property

Gets and sets the time-out period (in minutes) allowed between requests before the session-state provider terminates the session.

Type: System.Int32
The time-out period, in minutes.

The following code example implements the Timeout property of the IHttpSessionState interface to get and set the session timeout value that is stored in an internal variable created in the class constructor.

public int Timeout
  get { return pTimeout; }
    if (value <= 0)
      throw new ArgumentException("Timeout value must be greater than zero.");

    if (value > MAX_TIMEOUT)
      throw new ArgumentException("Timout cannot be greater than " + MAX_TIMEOUT.ToString());

    pTimeout = value;
