IHttpSessionState::CookieMode Property
Gets a value that indicates whether the application is configured for cookieless sessions.
Assembly: System.Web (in System.Web.dll)
Property Value
Type: System.Web::HttpCookieModeOne of the HttpCookieMode values that indicate whether the application is configured for cookieless sessions. The default is UseCookies.
The CookieMode property returns a HttpCookieMode enumeration value that is based on the value of the cookieless attribute of the SessionState configuration element. If the cookieless attribute is set to true, then the CookieMode property returns UseUri; otherwise, the CookieMode property returns UseCookies.
The following code example sets the cookieless attribute of the sessionState Element (ASP.NET Settings Schema) element to true in the Web.config file to change the CookieMode property. For this sample application configuration, the CookieMode property would return UseUri.
<configuration>
<system.web>
<sessionState
mode="InProc"
cookieless="true"
timeout="30" />
</system.web>
</configuration>
