Assembly: System.Web.Services (in System.Web.Services.dll)
Parameters
- response
-
Type:
System.Net::WebResponse^
An HttpRequest object containing the output message for an operation.
- responseStream
-
Type:
System.IO::Stream^
A Stream whose content is the body of the HTTP response represented by the response parameter.
Return Value
Type: System::Object^A return value deserialized from an XML document contained in the HTTP response.
To deserialize the XML content of the HTTP response, the XmlReturnReader class's implementation of the Read method uses the XmlSerializer object passed as an argument to the Initialize method. It throws an exception if the HTTP response's MIME content type is not text/xml. The method closes the response before returning the deserialized Web method return value.
