ServiceDescriptionImporter::ProtocolName Property

Gets or sets the protocol used to access the described XML Web services.

Property Value

Type: System::String
A String that contains the case-insensitive name of the protocol to be imported.

The allowed values of this property are:

  • "Soap"

  • "Soap12"

  • "HttpPost"

  • "HttpGet"

  • "HttpSoap"

The default value is "Soap", which indicates the SOAP 1.1 standard.

The following example illustrates the use of the ProtocolName property when using the ServiceDescriptionImporter class.

ServiceDescriptionImporter^ importer = gcnew ServiceDescriptionImporter;
importer->ProtocolName = "Soap12"; // Use SOAP 1.2.
importer->AddServiceDescription( description, nullptr, nullptr );
