AuthorizationStoreRoleProvider.Initialize Method

Initializes the authorization-manager role provider with the property values specified in the ASP.NET application's configuration file. This method is not intended to be used directly from your code.

Parameters

name
Type: System.String
The name of the AuthorizationStoreRoleProvider instance to initialize.
config
Type: System.Collections.Specialized.NameValueCollection
A System.Collections.Specialized.NameValueCollection that contains the names and values of configuration options for the role provider.

ExceptionCondition
ArgumentNullException

config is null.

ProviderException

The connectionStringName attribute is empty or does not exist in the connectionStrings Element (ASP.NET Settings Schema) configuration section.

-or-

The configured applicationName is longer than 256 characters.

-or-

The configuration for this AuthorizationStoreRoleProvider instance contains an unrecognized attribute.

HttpException

The ASP.NET application is not running at Low trust or higher.

The Initialize method initializes the AuthorizationStoreRoleProvider with the property values specified in the ASP.NET application configuration file (Web.config) and is not intended to be used directly from your code.
