HttpRequest.HttpMethod Property
.NET Framework (current version)
Gets the HTTP data transfer method (such as GET, POST, or HEAD) used by the client.
Assembly: System.Web (in System.Web.dll)
The following code example uses the HtmlEncode method to HTML-encode the value of the HttpMethod property and the WriteLine method to write the encoded value to the file. This code example is part of a larger example provided for the HttpRequest class.
// Write request information to the file with HTML encoding.
sw.WriteLine(Server.HtmlEncode(Request.RequestType));
sw.WriteLine(Server.HtmlEncode(Request.UserHostAddress));
sw.WriteLine(Server.HtmlEncode(Request.UserHostName));
sw.WriteLine(Server.HtmlEncode(Request.HttpMethod));
The following example shows output that is produced by this code.
