Serves as the base class for classes that enable information to be shared across multiple sessions and requests within an ASP.NET application.
Assembly: System.Web.Abstractions (in System.Web.Abstractions.dll)
[AspNetHostingPermissionAttribute(SecurityAction.LinkDemand, Level = AspNetHostingPermissionLevel.Minimal)] [AspNetHostingPermissionAttribute(SecurityAction.InheritanceDemand, Level = AspNetHostingPermissionLevel.Minimal)] public abstract class HttpApplicationStateBase : NameObjectCollectionBase, ICollection, IEnumerable
The class is an abstract class that contains the same members as the HttpApplicationState class. The class lets you create derived classes that are like the HttpApplicationState class, but that you can customize and that work outside the ASP.NET pipeline. When you perform unit testing, you typically use a derived class to implement members with customized behavior that fulfills the scenario you are testing.
The HttpApplicationStateWrapper class derives from the class. The HttpApplicationStateWrapper class serves as a wrapper for the HttpApplicationState class. At run time, you typically use an instance of the HttpApplicationStateWrapper class to call members of the HttpApplicationState object.

The .NET Framework and .NET Compact Framework do not support all versions of every platform. For a list of the supported versions, see .NET Framework System Requirements.
