MetaTable::GetDisplayString Method

Returns the value to use as the display string for an instance of a row when the row is used in foreign-key relationships.

Parameters

row
Type: System::Object

The row to get the display string for.

Return Value

Type: System::String
The display name for an instance of a row.

If the row is nullptr, an empty string is returned. If the entity class includes an override of the ToString method, the overridden ToString value is returned. Otherwise, the method returns the ToString representation of the value of the DisplayColumn property for the specified row.
