The EntityTemplateFactory class is used at run time by Dynamic Data to get an instance of an entity template for a table. Entity templates are user controls that apply to a whole table row instead of a single data field, as with field templates. The entity templates are displayed on a page by using the DynamicEntity class. They use field templates to display values from the data model.
Dynamic Data provides default entity templates that are found in the ~\DynamicData\EntityTemplates folder. You can modify these default entity templates or create custom ones to change the appearance and behavior for a table. There are templates for display, edit, and insert operations.
For an example of how to use entity templates, see Walkthrough: Customizing Table Layout Using Entity Templates.
