DynamicDataExtensions::FormatValue Method

Formats the specified field value by using the specified formatting options.
Assembly: System.Web.DynamicData (in System.Web.DynamicData.dll)
[ExtensionAttribute] public: static String^ FormatValue( IFieldFormattingOptions^ formattingOptions, Object^ fieldValue )
Parameters
- formattingOptions
- Type: System.Web.DynamicData::IFieldFormattingOptions
The IFieldFormattingOptions instance to use.
- fieldValue
- Type: System::Object
The field value to format.
Return Value
Type: System::StringThe field value that has been formatted by using the specified formatting options.
Usage Note
In Visual Basic and C#, you can call this method as an instance method on any object of type IFieldFormattingOptions. When you use instance method syntax to call this method, omit the first parameter.
