DynamicDataExtensions::FormatEditValue Method

Formats the specified field value by using the specified formatting options.
Assembly: System.Web.DynamicData (in System.Web.DynamicData.dll)
[ExtensionAttribute] public: static String^ FormatEditValue( IFieldFormattingOptions^ formattingOptions, Object^ fieldValue )
Parameters
- formattingOptions
- Type: System.Web.DynamicData::IFieldFormattingOptions
The IFieldFormattingOptions instance to use.
- fieldValue
- Type: System::Object
The field value to format.
Return Value
Type: System::StringThe field value that has been formatted by using the specified formatting options.
Usage Note
In Visual Basic and C#, you can call this method as an instance method on any object of type IFieldFormattingOptions. When you use instance method syntax to call this method, omit the first parameter. For more information, see Extension Methods (Visual Basic) or Extension Methods (C# Programming Guide).The FormatEditValue method is like the FormatValue method, but it is used when the field is in edit mode.
