ExpressionBuilder.ParseExpression Method

When overridden in a derived class, returns an object that represents the parsed expression.

	Type propertyType,
	ExpressionBuilderContext context
)

Parameters

expression
Type: System.String

The value of the declarative expression.

propertyType
Type: System.Type

The type of the property bound to by the expression.

context
Type: System.Web.Compilation.ExpressionBuilderContext

Contextual information for the evaluation of the expression.

Return Value

Type: System.Object
An Object containing the parsed representation of the expression; otherwise, null if ParseExpression is not implemented.

When overridden in a derived class, this method parses the expression and returns it as an object that can be used as the parsedData parameter in a GetCodeExpression or EvaluateExpression method.
