TimeSpan.Ticks Property

Gets the number of ticks that represent the value of the current TimeSpan structure.

Namespace:  System
Assembly:  mscorlib (in mscorlib.dll)

'Declaration
Public ReadOnly Property Ticks As Long

Property Value

Type: System.Int64
The number of ticks contained in this instance.

The smallest unit of time is the tick, which is equal to 100 nanoseconds. A tick can be negative or positive.

The following example creates several TimeSpan objects and displays the Ticks property of each.
