WebHttpBehavior.DefaultOutgoingRequestFormat Property

Gets and sets the default outgoing request format.

public virtual WebMessageFormat DefaultOutgoingRequestFormat { get; set; }

Property Value

Type: System.ServiceModel.Web.WebMessageFormat
One of the values defined in the WebMessageFormat enumeration.

If the WebGetAttribute or WebInvokeAttribute does not explicitly set the RequestFormat property, the value of this property is used as the request format for the operation. The default value of this default-setting property is Xml. The JSON format is not currently supported in Silverlight.
