MsmqMessageProperty Class

The MsmqMessageProperty class encapsulates the properties of a message that has been read from a queue.

The MsmqMessageProperty type exposes the following members.

Public propertyAbortCountGets an Int32 value that indicates the number of times the message participated in the transaction that was aborted, that is, channel attempts - 1.
Public propertyDeliveryFailureGets a value from the DeliveryFailure enumeration that indicates why the message failed delivery.
Public propertyDeliveryStatusGets a value from the DeliveryStatus enumeration that indicates the delivery status of the message.
Public propertyMoveCountGets an Int32 value that indicates the number of times the message has moved from the main queue to the subqueue or the other way.

Public methodEquals(Object)Determines whether the specified object is equal to the current object. (Inherited from Object.)
Public methodStatic memberGetGets the MsmqMessageProperty for the specified Message.

The MsmqMessageProperty class is obtained from the channel context and is used primarily for error processing. For example, if an application reads a message from the dead-letter queue, the application should examine properties like DeliveryFailure and DeliveryStatus. If an application is performing its own poison-message handling, it should examine properties like AbortCount.
