SendReply Class
Visual Studio 2010
An activity that sends the reply message as part of a request/response message exchange pattern on the service side.
Assembly: System.ServiceModel.Activities (in System.ServiceModel.Activities.dll)
The SendReply type exposes the following members.
| Name | Description | |
|---|---|---|
![]() | Action | Gets or sets the value of the action header of the message. |
![]() | CacheId | Gets the identifier of the cache that is unique within the scope of the workflow definition. (Inherited from Activity.) |
![]() | Constraints | Gets a collection of Constraint activities that can be configured to provide validation for the Activity. (Inherited from Activity.) |
![]() | Content | Gets or sets the content sent by the SendReply activity. |
![]() | CorrelationInitializers | Gets a collection of correlation initializers. |
![]() | DisplayName | Gets or sets an optional friendly name that is used for debugging, validation, exception handling, and tracking. (Inherited from Activity.) |
![]() | Id | Gets an identifier that is unique in the scope of the workflow definition. (Inherited from Activity.) |
![]() | Implementation | Gets or sets the delegate that returns an Activity that contains the execution logic. (Inherited from Activity.) |
![]() | PersistBeforeSend | Gets or sets a value that specifies whether the workflow service instance should be persisted before sending the message. |
![]() | Request | Gets or sets a reference to the Receive activity paired with this SendReply activity. |
| Name | Description | |
|---|---|---|
![]() | CacheMetadata | Creates and validates a description of the activity’s arguments, variables, child activities, and activity delegates. (Inherited from Activity.) |
![]() | Equals(Object) | Determines whether the specified Object is equal to the current Object. (Inherited from Object.) |
![]() | Finalize | Allows an object to try to free resources and perform other cleanup operations before it is reclaimed by garbage collection. (Inherited from Object.) |
![]() | GetHashCode | Serves as a hash function for a particular type. (Inherited from Object.) |
![]() | GetType | Gets the Type of the current instance. (Inherited from Object.) |
![]() | MemberwiseClone | Creates a shallow copy of the current Object. (Inherited from Object.) |
![]() | ShouldSerializeDisplayName | Indicates whether the DisplayName property should be serialized. (Inherited from Activity.) |
![]() | ToString | Returns a String that contains the Id and DisplayName of the Activity. (Inherited from Activity.) |
The following example shows how to create a SendReply activity and add it to a workflow in code.
Variable<string> message = new Variable<string> { Name = "message" }; Variable<string> echo = new Variable<string> { Name = "echo" }; Receive receiveString = new Receive { OperationName = "Echo", ServiceContractName = "Echo", CanCreateInstance = true, //parameters for receive Content = new ReceiveParametersContent { Parameters = { {"message", new OutArgument<string>(message)} } } }; Sequence workflow = new Sequence() { Variables = { message, echo }, Activities = { receiveString, new WriteLine { Text = new InArgument<string>(env =>("Message received: " + message.Get(env))) }, new Assign<string> { Value = new InArgument<string>(env =>("<echo> " + message.Get(env))), To = new OutArgument<string>(echo) }, //parameters for reply new SendReply { Request = receiveString, Content = new SendParametersContent { Parameters = { { "echo", new InArgument<string>(echo) } }, } }, new WriteLine { Text = new InArgument<string>(env =>("Message sent: " + echo.Get(env))) }, }, }; service = new WorkflowService { Name = "Echo", Body = workflow };
The following example shows how to create a SendReply activity and add it to a workflow service in XAML.
