Returns the name of the certification authority that issued the X.509v3 certificate.

Return Value

The name of the certification authority that issued the X.509 certificate.

Exception typeCondition

CryptographicException

An error with the certificate occurs. For example:

  • The certificate file does not exist.

  • The certificate is invalid.

  • The certificate's password is incorrect.

The following example uses the GetIssuerName method to return the certificate issuer's name and displays it to the console.
