CodeAccessPermission overview

Public Methods

public methodAssert Declares that the calling code can access the resource protected by a permission demand through the code that calls this method, even if callers higher in the stack have not been granted permission to access the resource. Using Assert can create security vulnerabilities.
public methodCopy When implemented by a derived class, creates and returns an identical copy of the current permission object.
public methodDemand Forces a SecurityException at run time if all callers higher in the call stack have not been granted the permission specified by the current instance.
public methodDeny Prevents callers higher in the call stack from using the code that calls this method to access the resource specified by the current instance.
public methodEquals (inherited from Object) Overloaded. Determines whether two Object instances are equal.
public methodFromXml When overridden in a derived class, reconstructs a security object with a specified state from an XML encoding.
public methodGetHashCode (inherited from Object) Serves as a hash function for a particular type, suitable for use in hashing algorithms and data structures like a hash table.
public methodGetType (inherited from Object) Gets the Type of the current instance.
public methodIntersect When implemented by a derived class, creates and returns a permission that is the intersection of the current permission and the specified permission.
public methodIsSubsetOf When implemented by a derived class, determines whether the current permission is a subset of the specified permission.
public methodPermitOnly Prevents callers higher in the call stack from using the code that calls this method to access all resources except for the resource specified by the current instance.
public methodstatic (Shared in Visual Basic)RevertAll Causes all previous overrides for the current frame to be removed and no longer in effect.
public methodstatic (Shared in Visual Basic)RevertAssert Causes any previous Assert for the current frame to be removed and no longer in effect.
public methodstatic (Shared in Visual Basic)RevertDeny Causes any previous Deny for the current frame to be removed and no longer in effect.
public methodstatic (Shared in Visual Basic)RevertPermitOnly Causes any previous PermitOnly for the current frame to be removed and no longer in effect.
public methodToString Overridden. Creates and returns a string representation of the current permission object.
public methodToXml When overridden in a derived class, creates an XML encoding of the security object and its current state.
public methodUnion When overridden in a derived class, creates a permission that is the union of the current permission and the specified permission.

Protected Constructors

protected constructorCodeAccessPermission Constructor Initializes a new instance of the CodeAccessPermission class.

Protected Methods

protected methodFinalize (inherited from Object) Overridden. Allows an Object to attempt to free resources and perform other cleanup operations before the Object is reclaimed by garbage collection.

In C# and C++, finalizers are expressed using destructor syntax.

protected methodMemberwiseClone (inherited from Object) Creates a shallow copy of the current Object.
