Retrieves a computer-independent description of an exception, and information about the state that existed for the thread when the exception occurred.

[Visual Basic]
Public Shared Function GetExceptionPointers() As IntPtr
public static IntPtr GetExceptionPointers();
public: static IntPtr GetExceptionPointers();
public static function GetExceptionPointers() : IntPtr;

Return Value

An IntPtr to an EXCEPTION_POINTERS structure.

GetExceptionPointers is exposed for complier support of structured exception handling (SEH) only.

Note   This method uses SecurityAction.LinkDemand to prevent it from being called from untrusted code; only the immediate caller is required to have SecurityPermissionAttribute.UnmanagedCode permission. If your code can be called from partially trusted code, do not pass user input to Marshal class methods without validation. For important limitations on using the LinkDemand member, see Demand vs. LinkDemand.
