STGMEDIUM Structure
Visual Studio 2010
Provides the managed definition of the STGMEDIUM structure.
Assembly: System (in System.dll)
The STGMEDIUM type exposes the following members.
| Name | Description | |
|---|---|---|
![]() | Equals | Indicates whether this instance and a specified object are equal. (Inherited from ValueType.) |
![]() | Finalize | Allows an object to try to free resources and perform other cleanup operations before it is reclaimed by garbage collection. (Inherited from Object.) |
![]() | GetHashCode | Returns the hash code for this instance. (Inherited from ValueType.) |
![]() | GetType | Gets the Type of the current instance. (Inherited from Object.) |
![]() | MemberwiseClone | Creates a shallow copy of the current Object. (Inherited from Object.) |
![]() | ToString | Returns the fully qualified type name of this instance. (Inherited from ValueType.) |
| Name | Description | |
|---|---|---|
![]() | pUnkForRelease | Represents a pointer to an interface instance that allows the sending process to control the way the storage is released when the receiving process calls the ReleaseStgMedium function. If pUnkForRelease is nullptr, ReleaseStgMedium uses default procedures to release the storage; otherwise, ReleaseStgMedium uses the specified IUnknown interface. |
![]() | tymed | Specifies the type of storage medium. The marshaling and unmarshaling routines use this value to determine which union member was used. This value must be one of the elements of the TYMED enumeration. |
![]() | unionmember | Represents a handle, string, or interface pointer that the receiving process can use to access the data being transferred. |
For more information about the STGMEDIUM structure, see the MSDN Library.
The common language runtime throws an exception when a COM method in native code returns an HRESULT. For more information, see How to: Map HRESULTs and Exceptions.
