PrintTicket.OutputColor Property

Gets or sets a value indicating how the printer handles content that has color or shades of gray.

Namespace:  System.Printing
Assembly:  ReachFramework (in ReachFramework.dll)

public Nullable<OutputColor> OutputColor { get; set; }

Property Value

Type: System.Nullable<OutputColor>
An OutputColor value indicating how the printer handles content that has color or shades of gray.

ExceptionCondition
ArgumentOutOfRangeException

Calling code has attempted to set the property to a value that is not in the OutputColor enumeration.

A null value for this property means that this feature setting is not specified. Also, when the value is null, the XML versions of the PrintTicket (see SaveTo and GetXmlStream) will not contain any markup for this feature.

This property corresponds to the Print Schema's PageOutputColor keyword.

You can test for the options that the printer supports by using the OutputColorCapability property.

The following example shows how to use this property to configure a print job.

// Use different PrintTickets for different FixedDocuments.
PrintTicket ptFD = new PrintTicket();

if (_firstDocumentPrintTicket <= 1)
{ // Print the first document in black/white and in portrait
    // orientation. Since the PrintTicket at the
    // FixedDocumentSequence level already specifies portrait
    // orientation, this FixedDocument can just inherit that
    // setting without having to set it again.
    ptFD.PageOrientation = PageOrientation.Portrait;
    ptFD.OutputColor = OutputColor.Monochrome;
    _firstDocumentPrintTicket++;
}

else // if (_firstDocumentPrintTicket > 1)
{ // Print the second document in color and in landscape
    // orientation. Since the PrintTicket at the
    // FixedDocumentSequence level already specifies portrait
    // orientation, this FixedDocument needs to set its
    // PrintTicket with landscape orientation in order to
    // override the higher level setting.
    ptFD.PageOrientation = PageOrientation.Landscape;
    ptFD.OutputColor = OutputColor.Color;
}
