ManagementBaseObject.GetText Method

Returns a textual representation of the object in the specified format.

Namespace:  System.Management
Assembly:  System.Management (in System.Management.dll)

Parameters

format
Type: System.Management.TextFormat
The requested textual format.

Return Value

Type: System.String
The textual representation of the object in the specified format.

Currently, the only format that WMI supports is Managed Object Format (MOF). In the future, other formats will be supported, such as Extensible Markup Language (XML).

The following example displays the MOF code for the Win32_Process class by using the GetText method. For more information about the Win32_Process class, see the Windows Management Instrumentation documentation in the MSDN Library at http://msdn.microsoft.com/library.
