Package.Close Method

Saves and closes the package plus all underlying part streams.

Namespace: System.IO.Packaging
Assembly: WindowsBase (in windowsbase.dll)

public void Close ()
public void Close ()
public function Close ()
You cannot use methods in XAML.

For the Package class Close and Dispose perform the same operation - there is no reason to call Dispose if you call Close, or vice-versa.

Close and Dispose internally call Flush.

The "using" keyword (different from the "using" namespace statement) is the recommended means to Close and Dispose a package. The Writing a Package Sample and Reading a Package Sample show how to close and dispose a package with the "using" keyword.
