WindowsSecurityToken::Dispose Method

Releases all resources used by the WindowsSecurityToken.

Namespace:  System.IdentityModel.Tokens
Assembly:  System.IdentityModel (in System.IdentityModel.dll)

public:
virtual void Dispose()

Implements

IDisposable::Dispose()

Call the Dispose method when you are finished using the WindowsSecurityToken. The Dispose method leaves the WindowsSecurityToken in an unusable state. After calling the Dispose method, you must release all references to the WindowsSecurityToken so the garbage collector can reclaim the memory that the WindowsSecurityToken was occupying.

NoteNote

Always call the Dispose method before you release your last reference to the WindowsSecurityToken. Otherwise, the resources it is using will not be freed until the garbage collector calls the WindowsSecurityToken object's Finalize method.
