SecurityTokenProvider::BeginGetTokenCore Method
Begins an asynchronous operation to get a security token.
Assembly: System.IdentityModel (in System.IdentityModel.dll)
protected: virtual IAsyncResult^ BeginGetTokenCore( TimeSpan timeout, AsyncCallback^ callback, Object^ state )
Parameters
- timeout
- Type: System::TimeSpan
A TimeSpan that specifies the timeout value for the message that gets the security token.
- callback
- Type: System::AsyncCallback
The AsyncCallback delegate that receives notification of the completion of the asynchronous close operation.
- state
- Type: System::Object
An object, specified by the application, that contains state information associated with the asynchronous close operation.
When you inherit from the SecurityTokenProvider class you are not required to override the asynchronous methods, as the SecurityTokenProvider base class provides asynchronous support based upon the synchronous methods. Therefore, you are not required to override the BeginGetTokenCore method, unless you must provide your own asynchronous implementation.
The BeginGetToken method calls the BeginGetTokenCore method.
Notes to InheritorsThe asynchronous methods, which have a prefix of Begin and End, do not need to be overridden in derived classes. The SecurityTokenProvider base class provides an asynchronous implementation that is based on the synchronous methods.
