Encoder Class

An Encoder object encapsulates a globally unique identifier (GUID) that identifies the category of an image encoder parameter.

When you pass a parameter to an image encoder, the parameter is encapsulated in an EncoderParameter object. One of the private fields of the EncoderParameter object is a GUID that specifies the category of the parameter. The image encoders that are built into GDI+ receive parameters that belong to the following categories: Transformation, Quality, LuminanceTable, ChrominanceTable, Compression, ColorDepth, and SaveFlag.


Any public static (Shared in Visual Basic) members of this type are thread safe. Any instance members are not guaranteed to be thread safe.
