DomainController.SeizeRoleOwnership Method

Causes this domain controller to take ownership of the specified role.

	ActiveDirectoryRole role
)

Parameters

role
Type: System.DirectoryServices.ActiveDirectory.ActiveDirectoryRole
One of the ActiveDirectoryRole members that specifies which role the domain controller should take ownership of.

ExceptionCondition
InvalidEnumArgumentException

role is not valid.

ObjectDisposedException

The current object has been disposed.

This method is a destructive operation because it causes the role to be taken without the cooperation of the server that currently holds the role. The DomainController.TransferRoleOwnership method should be used instead whenever possible.
