SuppressMessageAttribute.Target Property

Note: This property is new in the .NET Framework version 2.0.

Gets or sets a fully qualified path that represents the target of the attribute.

Namespace: System.Diagnostics.CodeAnalysis
Assembly: mscorlib (in mscorlib.dll)

public string Target { get; set; }
/** @property */
public String get_Target ()

/** @property */
public void set_Target (String value)

public function get Target () : String

public function set Target (value : String)

Property Value

A fully qualified path that represents the target of the attribute.

The Target property is an optional argument identifying the analysis target of the attribute. An example value is "void:System.IO.Stream.ctor()". Because it is fully qualified, it can be long, particularly for targets such as parameters. The analysis tool user interface should be capable of automatically formatting the parameter.
