CivicAddressResolver::ResolveAddress Method

Synchronously resolves a civic address from a location based on latitude and longitude. This call will block execution of the calling thread while the address is being resolved.

Namespace:  System.Device.Location
Assembly:  System.Device (in System.Device.dll)

public:
virtual CivicAddress^ ResolveAddress(
	GeoCoordinate^ coordinate
) sealed

Parameters

coordinate
Type: System.Device.Location::GeoCoordinate
The GeoCoordinate containing the location to resolve to a civic address.

Return Value

Type: System.Device.Location::CivicAddress
The civic address that is resolved from the coordinate parameter. Unknown is returned if the address cannot be resolved.

Implements

ICivicAddressResolver::ResolveAddress(GeoCoordinate)

ExceptionCondition
ArgumentNullException

coordinate is nullptr.

ArgumentException

coordinate does not contain a valid latitude and longitude.

The ResolveAddressCompleted event is raised when the address resolve operation completes. The civic address that is resolved from the coordinate parameter is returned by the Address member of the ResolveAddressCompletedEventArgs object that is passed to the event handler.
