Gets the time to wait to establish a connection before terminating the attempt and generating an error.
Assembly: System.Data.OracleClient (in System.Data.OracleClient.dll)
[<BrowsableAttribute(false)>] abstract ConnectionTimeout : int [<BrowsableAttribute(false)>] override ConnectionTimeout : int
Property ValueType: System.Int32
The time (in seconds) to wait for a connection to open. The default value is 15 seconds.
You can set the amount of time a connection waits to time out by using the Connect Timeout or Connection Timeout keywords in the connection string. A value of 0 indicates no limit, and should be avoided in a ConnectionString because an attempt to connect waits indefinitely.
Unlike the Connection object in the other .NET Framework data providers (SQL Server, OLE DB, and ODBC), OracleConnection does not support a property. Setting a connection time-out either with a property or in the connection string has no effect, and the value returned is always zero. OracleConnection also does not support a Database property or a ChangeDatabase method.
Windows 7, Windows Vista SP1 or later, Windows XP SP3, Windows XP SP2 x64 Edition, Windows Server 2008 (Server Core not supported), Windows Server 2008 R2 (Server Core supported with SP1 or later), Windows Server 2003 SP2
The .NET Framework does not support all versions of every platform. For a list of the supported versions, see .NET Framework System Requirements.
