OdbcDataReader.GetFloat Method

Gets the value of the specified column as a single-precision floating-point number.

The zero-based column ordinal.

Return Value

The value of the specified column as a single-precision floating-point number.

Exception typeCondition

InvalidCastException

The specified cast is not valid.

Conversions are performed based on the underlying capabilities of the ODBC driver. If the conversion is not supported then the method call will fail.

Call IsDBNull to look for null values before calling this method.
