EdmFunctions.ToUpper Method

.NET Framework 4.6 and 4.5

Creates a DbFunctionExpression that invokes the canonical 'ToUpper' function with the specified argument, which must have a string result type. The result type of the expression is also string.

Parameters

stringArgument
Type: System.Data.Common.CommandTrees.DbExpression

An expression that specifies the string that should be converted to upper case.

Return Value

Type: System.Data.Common.CommandTrees.DbFunctionExpression
A new DbFunctionExpression that returns value of stringArgument converted to upper case.

Usage Note

In Visual Basic and C#, you can call this method as an instance method on any object of type DbExpression. When you use instance method syntax to call this method, omit the first parameter. For more information, see Extension Methods (Visual Basic) or Extension Methods (C# Programming Guide).
