EdmFunctions.DiffDays Method

Creates a DbFunctionExpression that invokes the canonical 'DiffDays' function with the specified arguments, which must each have DateTime or DateTimeOffset result type. The result type of the expression is Edm.Int32.

Parameters

dateValue1
Type: System.Data.Common.CommandTrees.DbExpression

An expression that specifies the first date value argument.

dateValue2
Type: System.Data.Common.CommandTrees.DbExpression

An expression that specifies the second date value argument.

Return Value

Type: System.Data.Common.CommandTrees.DbFunctionExpression
A new DbFunctionExpression that returns the number of days that is the difference between dateValue1 and dateValue2.

Usage Note

In Visual Basic and C#, you can call this method as an instance method on any object of type DbExpression. When you use instance method syntax to call this method, omit the first parameter. For more information, see Extension Methods (Visual Basic) or Extension Methods (C# Programming Guide).
