DbExpressionBuilder.Except Method

Creates a new DbExceptExpression that computes the subtraction of the right set argument from the left set argument.

Parameters

left
Type: System.Data.Common.CommandTrees.DbExpression

An expression that defines the left set argument.

right
Type: System.Data.Common.CommandTrees.DbExpression

An expression that defines the right set argument.

Return Value

Type: System.Data.Common.CommandTrees.DbExceptExpression
A new DbExceptExpression that represents the difference of the left argument from the right argument.

Usage Note

In Visual Basic and C#, you can call this method as an instance method on any object of type DbExpression. When you use instance method syntax to call this method, omit the first parameter. For more information, see Extension Methods (Visual Basic) or Extension Methods (C# Programming Guide).
