ConfigurationSaveMode Enumeration

Determines which properties are written out to a configuration file.

public enum ConfigurationSaveMode

Member nameDescription
ModifiedCauses only modified properties to be written to the configuration file, even when the value is the same as the inherited value.
MinimalCauses only properties that differ from inherited values to be written to the configuration file.
FullCauses all properties to be written to the configuration file. This is useful mostly for creating information configuration files or moving configuration values from one machine to another.

The ConfigurationSaveMode enumeration values identify which properties are written out to a configuration file when calling the Save and SaveAs methods.

Supported in: 4, 3.5 SP1

Windows 7, Windows Vista SP1 or later, Windows XP SP3, Windows XP SP2 x64 Edition, Windows Server 2008 (Server Core not supported), Windows Server 2008 R2 (Server Core supported with SP1 or later), Windows Server 2003 SP2
