CallbackValidator Class

Provides dynamic validation of an object.
System::Object
System.Configuration::ConfigurationValidatorBase
System.Configuration::CallbackValidator
System.Configuration::ConfigurationValidatorBase
System.Configuration::CallbackValidator
Assembly: System.Configuration (in System.Configuration.dll)
The CallbackValidator type exposes the following members.
| Name | Description | |
|---|---|---|
![]() | CanValidate | Determines whether the type of the object can be validated. (Overrides ConfigurationValidatorBase::CanValidate(Type).) |
![]() | Equals(Object) | Determines whether the specified Object is equal to the current Object. (Inherited from Object.) |
![]() | Finalize | Allows an object to try to free resources and perform other cleanup operations before it is reclaimed by garbage collection. (Inherited from Object.) |
![]() | GetHashCode | Serves as a hash function for a particular type. (Inherited from Object.) |
![]() | GetType | Gets the Type of the current instance. (Inherited from Object.) |
![]() | MemberwiseClone | Creates a shallow copy of the current Object. (Inherited from Object.) |
![]() | ToString | Returns a string that represents the current object. (Inherited from Object.) |
![]() | Validate | Determines whether the value of an object is valid. (Overrides ConfigurationValidatorBase::Validate(Object).) |
To use this class, you need to implement a ValidatorCallback delegate for the type of object you want to validate. When you instantiate this class, you pass in the object type and a reference to the delegate. You can then call CanValidate to determine if an object is the correct type or Validate to execute the delegate on the object.
