ITypeDescriptorContext.OnComponentChanged Method

Raises the ComponentChanged event.

Namespace: System.ComponentModel
Assembly: System (in system.dll)

void OnComponentChanged ()
void OnComponentChanged ()
function OnComponentChanged ()
Not applicable.

Use the OnComponentChanged method to send notification that an instance of an object has changed.

Raising an event invokes the event handler through a delegate. For more information, see Raising an Event.

The OnComponentChanged method also allows derived classes to handle the event without attaching a delegate. This is the preferred technique for handling the event in a derived class.

Notes to Inheritors: When overriding OnComponentChanged in a derived class, be sure to call the base class’s OnComponentChanged method so that registered delegates receive the event.
