This converter can only convert a 32-bit signed integer object to and from a string. The Int32 value type represents signed integers with values ranging from negative 2,147,483,648 through positive 2,147,483,647.
The ConvertFrom method uses the Parse method of Int32 with the integer value of NumberStyles.
The ConvertTo method uses the general ("G") format for the string returned.
For more information about type converters, see the TypeConverter base class and How to: Implement a Type Converter.
Note |
|---|
You should never create an instance of an Int32Converter. Instead, call the GetConverter method of TypeDescriptor. For more information, see the examples in the TypeConverter base class. |
Note |
|---|
The HostProtectionAttribute attribute applied to this type or member has the following Resources property value: SharedState. The HostProtectionAttribute does not affect desktop applications (which are typically started by double-clicking an icon, typing a command, or entering a URL in a browser). For more information, see the HostProtectionAttribute class or SQL Server Programming and Host Protection Attributes. |
The following code example converts a variable of type Int32 to a string and vice versa.
Windows 7, Windows Vista SP1 or later, Windows XP SP3, Windows XP SP2 x64 Edition, Windows Server 2008 (Server Core not supported), Windows Server 2008 R2 (Server Core supported with SP1 or later), Windows Server 2003 SP2
The .NET Framework does not support all versions of every platform. For a list of the supported versions, see .NET Framework System Requirements.
