InheritanceService Class

Provides a set of methods for identifying inherited components.

The InheritanceService type exposes the following members.

Public methodInheritanceServiceInitializes a new instance of the InheritanceService class.

Public methodAddInheritedComponents(IComponent, IContainer)Adds the components inherited by the specified component to the InheritanceService.
Protected methodAddInheritedComponents(Type, IComponent, IContainer)Adds the components of the specified type that are inherited by the specified component to the InheritanceService.
Public methodDispose()Releases all resources used by the InheritanceService.
Protected methodDispose(Boolean)Releases the unmanaged resources used by the InheritanceService and optionally releases the managed resources.
Public methodEquals(Object)Determines whether the specified Object is equal to the current Object. (Inherited from Object.)
Protected methodFinalizeAllows an object to try to free resources and perform other cleanup operations before it is reclaimed by garbage collection. (Inherited from Object.)
Public methodGetHashCodeServes as a hash function for a particular type. (Inherited from Object.)
Public methodGetInheritanceAttributeGets the inheritance attribute of the specified component.
Public methodGetTypeGets the Type of the current instance. (Inherited from Object.)
Protected methodIgnoreInheritedMemberIndicates whether to ignore the specified member.
Protected methodMemberwiseCloneCreates a shallow copy of the current Object. (Inherited from Object.)
Public methodToStringReturns a string that represents the current object. (Inherited from Object.)

The InheritanceService can be used to find inherited components, select which ones to ignore, and retrieve the inheritance attribute of each inherited class that is tracked by the service.
