ComponentChangingEventHandler Delegate
Assembly: System (in system.dll)
'Declaration <ComVisibleAttribute(True)> _ Public Delegate Sub ComponentChangingEventHandler ( _ sender As Object, _ e As ComponentChangingEventArgs _ ) 'Usage Dim instance As New ComponentChangingEventHandler(AddressOf HandlerMethod)
/** @delegate */ /** @attribute ComVisibleAttribute(true) */ public delegate void ComponentChangingEventHandler ( Object sender, ComponentChangingEventArgs e )
Not applicable.
Parameters
- sender
The source of the event.
- e
A ComponentChangingEventArgs event that contains the event data.
When you create a ComponentChangingEventHandler delegate, you identify the method that will handle the event. To associate the event with your event handler, add an instance of the delegate to the event. The event handler is called whenever the event occurs, unless you remove the delegate. For more information about event-handler delegates, see Events and Delegates.

The HostProtectionAttribute does not affect desktop applications (which are typically started by double-clicking an icon, typing a command, or entering a URL in a browser). This example demonstrates registering a ComponentChangingEventHandler and handling the ComponentChanging event.
Public Sub LinkComponentChangingEvent(ByVal changeService As IComponentChangeService) ' Registers an event handler for the ComponentChanging event. AddHandler changeService.ComponentChanging, AddressOf Me.OnComponentChanging End Sub Private Sub OnComponentChanging(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As ComponentChangingEventArgs) ' Displays changing component information on the console. Console.WriteLine(("Type of the component that is about to change: " + e.Component.GetType().FullName)) Console.WriteLine(("Name of the member of the component that is about to change: " + e.Member.Name)) End Sub
public void LinkComponentChangingEvent(IComponentChangeService changeService)
{
// Registers an event handler for the ComponentChanging event.
changeService.add_ComponentChanging(new ComponentChangingEventHandler(
this.OnComponentChanging));
} //LinkComponentChangingEvent
private void OnComponentChanging(Object sender, ComponentChangingEventArgs e)
{
// Displays changing component information on the console.
Console.WriteLine("Type of the component that is about to change: "
+ e.get_Component().GetType().get_FullName());
Console.WriteLine("Name of the member of the component that is about"
+ " to change: " + e.get_Member().get_Name());
} //OnComponentChanging
