CancelEventHandler Delegate
Represents the method that handles a cancellable event.
[Visual Basic] <Serializable> Public Delegate Sub CancelEventHandler( _ ByVal sender As Object, _ ByVal e As CancelEventArgs _ ) [C#] [Serializable] public delegate void CancelEventHandler( object sender, CancelEventArgs e ); [C++] [Serializable] public __gc __delegate void CancelEventHandler( Object* sender, CancelEventArgs* e );
[JScript] In JScript, you can use the delegates in the .NET Framework, but you cannot define your own.
Parameters [Visual Basic, C#, C++]
The declaration of your event handler must have the same parameters as the CancelEventHandler delegate declaration.
- sender
- The source of the event.
- e
- A CancelEventArgs that contains the event data.
Remarks
When you create a CancelEventHandler delegate, you identify the method that will handle the event. To associate the event with your event handler, add an instance of the delegate to the event. The event-handler method is called whenever the event occurs, unless you remove the delegate. For more information about event-handler delegates, see Events and Delegates.
Example
For an example of how to use the CancelEventHandler delegate, please see the sample code in the CancelEventArgs class.
