Handle Class
Represents a type that has its lifetime controlled by the workflow runtime.
Assembly: System.Activities (in System.Activities.dll)
| Name | Description | |
|---|---|---|
![]() | Handle() | Initializes a new instance of the Handle class. |
| Name | Description | |
|---|---|---|
![]() | ExecutionPropertyName | Gets the name to be used by this Handle when added to an activity’s execution properties. |
![]() | Owner | Gets the ActivityInstance that contains the Variable that contains the Handle. |
| Name | Description | |
|---|---|---|
![]() | Equals(Object^) | Determines whether the specified object is equal to the current object.(Inherited from Object.) |
![]() | Finalize() | Allows an object to try to free resources and perform other cleanup operations before it is reclaimed by garbage collection.(Inherited from Object.) |
![]() | GetHashCode() | Serves as the default hash function. (Inherited from Object.) |
![]() | GetType() | |
![]() | MemberwiseClone() | |
![]() | OnInitialize(HandleInitializationContext^) | Called by the workflow runtime when the environment that contains the Handle is initialized. |
![]() | OnUninitialize(HandleInitializationContext^) | Called by the workflow runtime when the Variable for the Handle goes out of scope. |
![]() | ThrowIfUninitialized() | Throws an InvalidOperationException if the Handle has not been initialized. |
![]() | ToString() | Returns a string that represents the current object.(Inherited from Object.) |
Types derived from Handle have their lifetimes controlled by the workflow runtime. For workflow variables of handle types, the runtime uses the required default constructor to create an instance of the type, assigns it to the Variable, and calls OnInitialize when initializing the environment. When the variable goes out of scope, OnUninitialize is called.
