A string that contains the name of the attachment.

The exact string returned by this property depends on the host. In Outlook for Mac, the string includes the file extension. If the attachment is an email, the property value includes a .eml extension. If the attachment is an appointment, the property value includes a .ics extension. As an example, if an attachment is a message item with the subject string "RE: Summer activity", this property would return the following JSON objects for this property:

  • In Outlook for Windows: "name": "RE: Summer activity"

  • In Outlook for Mac: "name": "RE: Summer activity.eml"

A checkmark (√) in the following table indicates that this property is supported in the corresponding Outlook host application. An empty cell indicates that the Outlook host application doesn't support this property.
