This article is the first in a six-part series about how to create a provider-hosted app for SharePoint that gets folders and files that you have shared from your OneDrive for Business site.

The articles in this series describe a sample that is deployed to a OneDrive for Business site, and iterates through the folders on that site. The sample uses the SharePoint CSOM client API.

Note Note

The sample described in this article series can be deployed to a OneDrive for Business site or to a SharePoint Team site, and works on both sites with no code changes needed.

The GetOneDriveFiles application consists of two projects: an application that is deployed to SharePoint, and a web application that is deployed to Microsoft Azure. Building and deploying the two parts are described in GetOneDriveFiles sample - Building and deployment.
