Properties

The MSFT_SIPIIMFilterFileFilterSetting class has the following properties.

  • Action
    Data type: string

    Access type: Read/Write

Required. Specifies the action to perform on IM messages that contain a file transfer request.

The value of this property is not case-sensitive.

    Value

    Description

    BlockAll

All instant messages that contain file transfer requests are dropped by the server and an error message is returned to the sender of the request. Additionally, the handout feature in the Office Live Meeting 2007 client is disabled.

    BlockList

Office Communications Server filters only those file transfer requests that contain a file extension that is specified by Schemes property.

    The default value is BlockList.

The Action property maps to the Block all file extensions and the Block only file extensions in the list below option buttons in the checkbox in the Intelligent IM Filter dialog box.

  • Backend
    Data type: [key] string

    Access type: Read-only

Required: When accessing data from any role that belongs to a pool. This property must be empty when accessing data from the Edge Server or Proxy Server role.

This property identifies the instance of SQL Server that manages the back-end database for Office Communications Server.

The value for this property depends on the topology of Office Communications Server.

    Topology

    Value

    Standard Edition

    (local)\rtc

    Enterprise Edition

    (consolidated or expanded configuration)

    computername\instancename

    or

    computername

For Enterprise Edition, computername identifies either the FQDN or the NetBIOS name of the host computer for SQL Server and instancename identifies a named instance of SQL Server on the host computer. The value computername by itself specifies the default instance of SQL Server on the host computer.

The Backend property does not map to the Intelligent IM Filter dialog box.

  • Enabled
    Data type: boolean

    Access type: Read/Write

Required. Indicates whether IM filtering is performed for file transfers during IM conversations.

If True, filtering is performed according to the parameters set by the additional properties of this class. If False, Office Communications Server passes all file transfer requests that are made during IM conversations.

    The default value is True.

The Enabled property maps to the Enable file transfer filtering checkbox in the Intelligent IM Filter dialog box.

  • InstanceID
    Data type: [key] string

Access type: Read-only A GUID value that uniquely identifies an instance of this class.

The GUID must be encapsulated between the "{" and "}" braces; for example: "{01234567-0123-4567-89AB-CDEF01234567}".

The InstanceID property does not map to the Intelligent IM Filter dialog box.

  • Schemes
    Data type: string[]

    Access type: Read/Write

Optional. Specifies the list of file extensions that are blocked if file filtering is enabled.

A single dot "." blocks transfer for any file that does not have an extension. The default list includes following file extensions: ".ade", ".adp", ".app", ".asp", ".bas", ".bat", ".cer", ".chm", ".cmd", ".com", ".cpl", ".crt", ".csh", ".exe", ".fxp", ".grp", ".hlp", ".hta", ".inf", ".ins", ".isp", ".its", ".js", ".jse", ".ksh", ".lnk", ".mad", ".maf", ".mag", ".mam", ".maq", ".mar", ".mas", ".mat", ".mau", ".mav", ".maw", ".mda", ".mdb", ".mde", ".mdt", ".mdw", ".mdz", ".msc", ".msi", ".msp", ".mst", ".ocx", ".ops", ".pcd", ".pif", ".pl", ".pnp", ".prf", ".prg", ".ps1", ".ps2", ".ps1xml", ".ps2xml", ".psc1", ".psc2", ".pst", ".reg", ".scf", ".scr", ".sct", ".shb", ".shs", ".tmp", ".url", ".vb", ".vbe", ".vbs", ".vsd", ".vsmacros", ".vss", ".vst", ".vsw", ".ws", ".wsc", ".wsf", ".wsh".
