How to: Add or Remove a Trusted SIP Peer

This content is no longer actively maintained. It is provided as is, for anyone who may still be using these technologies, with no warranties or claims of accuracy with regard to the most recent product version or service release.

You can add trusted SIP peers to Speech Server with the Speech Server Administrator console. After adding a trusted SIP peer, you can add the SIP peer to a deployment group and communicate with specified computers running Speech Server in that group. Removing a trusted SIP peer deletes it from the deployment group.

When you add a trusted SIP peer, you also specify whether the SIP peer is needed for outbound-calling applications or for applications that perform call transfers.

Note

Only one type of SIP peer can be trusted in a Speech Server deployment group. Speech Server cannot be configured to communicate with both default and TIMC SIP peers simultaneously.
