After installing Speech Server, verify that the services on each computer running Speech Server installed and started correctly.

Verifying Speech Server Services

To verify Speech Server services

  1. Click Start, click Control Panel, double-click Administrative Tools, and then double-click Computer Management.

  2. Expand Services and Applications, and then click Services.

  3. In the details pane, verify that the Speech Server service started.

  4. If it failed to start, right-click Speech Server, and then click Start.

  5. If the service does not start, check the event log for errors:

    1. Click Start, click Control Panel, double-click Administrative Tools, and then double-click Event Viewer.
    2. Click Application, and then address errors generated by MsiInstaller that appear in the details pane.

  6. Repeat steps 1 through 4.
