The Microsoft® Exchange Explorer is a useful tool for managing the Exchange store.

Typical uses for the Exchange Explorer include the following:

  • Creating folders and items.
  • Exploring property values in the Explorer's lower-right pane.
  • Designing schema for applications. A schema comprises the property and content class definitions used by Exchange store applications. The Schema Tutorial describes schema design tasks and how to create a schema and configure its scope. The scope determines how the schema's properties are made available to applications and searches.
  • Creating form and event registrations.
  • Saving property information to an XML file.
